Mommy What's a Bassonlian?
As Recorded By DXJ and The Bassonlians
Written by James McCauley
Verse 1:
(DXJ Through a voccoder):
In the deep solar system near the Galaxy
of Light, the people of Bassonia party day and night!
Rocking to the beat of the DX- Groove, everybody gets live everybody gets loose.
Just one sweaty beat lasting all night long, everybody feels good because
nobody does wrong.
So if you hear a Bassonlian Attack don't you fear, it's just DXJ bringing the
party here!
Chorus:
(DXJ Through a Harmonizer): Mommy, What's a Bassonlian?
Verse 2:
(DXJ Through a voccoder): They're not some scaly monster out of
somebody's dream, they only wan to party and give dancing feet.
And though no one really knows how much power they posses, Nobody tries to stop
them because they pass every test!
From the city of Atlantis to outside the hole, the Bassonlian influence is
taking control.
So if you hear a Bassonlian Attack don't you
Chorus:
(DXJ Through a Harmonizer:)
Mommy, What's a Bassonlian?
Verse 2:
(DXJ Through a voccoder): They don't need no Kurtis Blow or his
three Fat Boys, because DXJ can make plenty of noise!
From the Bassonlian Galaxy, to the Planet Detroit, he rocks so hard everybody
gets the point!
Bassing the Nation of Sweat, and chasing down the lost groove, he always strikes
back , it's just his point of view.
So if you hear a Bassonlian Attack don't you fear, it's just DXJ bringing the
party here!

Invisoclam answers the little
darlings' questions about the Bassonlians.
Originally this jam was
intended to either be a follow up and/or album cut in support of the classic
single " Bassonlian Attack" released on the malodorous Joey Boy
Records. Steeped and drenched in funky voccoder vocals this track answers the
annoying children's questions about who DXJ and the crew are (the
funkiest crew in the Bassonlian Galaxy) and who they are not ( a crew
from New York i.e. the Fat Boys).
Lot's of asides to other song titles (either working titles/ideas or published
titles are included in the lyrics... that's what the Atlantis line is all about.

InvisoRating:

Mommy What's a Bassonlian gets the rating point
of 'King Mackerel" or as it is more commonly known the "Kingfish"
because just as the Kingfish is the King of the fish, this jam is the king of
the jams made in this point of DXJ's career.
