"Bass It Baby"
Written by James McCauley and Jude Hayes

Verse One:
( Jude "Smokey Dee" Hayes):

Sure Shot rhythms combined with beats, mixed down on tracks to make it all complete and when it comes out fresh it's no mistake, he makes the beats so hard the dance floor shakes!
I'm Smokey Dee, he's DXJ, fresh beats he makes, fresh rhymes I say, two times put together this is what we do, we made this jam so you can just bass it!

Chorus one:
(James "DXJ"
McCauley thru voccoder) :
Bass it baby, Don't be shy! Bass it baby, let the kick drum fly!
( "DXJ" thru Korg DVP ) : Give us that bottom, we want that bottom
(James "DXJ" McCauley thru voccoder) : Bass it baby, Don't hold back! Bass it baby make your speakers crack!
( "DXJ" thru Korg DVP ) : Give us that bottom, we want that bottom, oh!

Verse Two:
( Jude "Smokey Dee" Hayes):

DXJ from the bass attack, so put your box on ten and please step back, cause if you get too close you might get blown away, you know it really doesn't matter to me where you play,
Because nobody on the planet can bass it like us, and when you're on your way home you and your friends will discuss the way we rock the house, you'll say again and again you like this so, so much why don't you just buy this jam and just bass it!

Chorus Two:
(James "DXJ"
McCauley thru voccoder) :
Bass it baby, Don't be shy! Bass it baby, let the kick drum fly!
( "DXJ" thru Korg DVP ) : Give us that bottom, we want that bottom!
(James "DXJ" McCauley thru voccoder) : Bass it baby, Don't hold back! Bass it baby, make your speakers crack!
( "DXJ" thru Korg DVP ) : Give us that bottom, we're dealing with that bottom!

Verse Three:
( Jude "Smokey Dee" Hayes):

I'm Smokey Dee here to entertain with raps galore and rhymes that contain funky fresh lyrics to blow your mind, and if you seek you'll find I'm genuine!
So just throw your hands in the air, wave your arms like just don't care, to everybody in the place if you feel the bass, somebody say oh yeah!

Party people in the place, DXJ's going to rock this bass!

Al Davis, famous for the line"Just win baby!" now says "Just Bass it Baby!"

Invisoclam gets deep into "Bass it Baby" by the Third Degree Featuring DXJ.

So DXJ has this track that he is working on and Mitch Cason says, maybe Jude should do something with that track, at the time Jude was working with us on various demo tracks and other things, however Jude was from New York so a lot of the tracks that we were working on were more NY flavored than Miami Style. Bass it Baby  went on to become Jude "Smokey Dee" Hayes' first release with Jamron Records.
This is the first track that DXJ used his "Maggovocal" style using the Korg DVP to process his voice in high and low pitch, a distinctive style that would soon be used on "Miami Bass" records.

The demo version of this song was passed over by the likes of Joey Boy, 4 sight and Pandisc. Suckers! The brain trust at Poor-sight wanted more bass in the demo! The demo! A 4-track rough demo! Give us a break already...So, a lot of the background talking in the low pitched voices throughout the record is DXJ throwing stupid statements made by the record moguls right back at them chumps  who did not want to be bothered the jam!  Needless to say after we put it out... the weasels all started coming out of the woods! (Hindsight is poor-sight!)

Eventually the song was re-released on a Jamarc compilation album released through Pandisc "The Miami Bass Machine" and also the same track was stripped down and remixed later on as "Mix it Baby"  by Maggozulu too and released on Pandisc as  a 12'' and also on the very first true Miami Bass Compilation Album " The Bass that Ate Miami".

The psychedelic style guitar by Paul Napolitano was also a first for Jamron and any Miami Bass record.

In the last line of the "outro" DXJ makes mention of the Aqua League. The Aqua League was a concept group in the works for Jamron, the themes of the songs were to be aquatic, for quite a while James and Ron worked on songs like "Atlantis", "Beneath the Waves" and "TechnoFish". These songs exist in various forms, and who knows maybe one day like Atlantis they will rise to the top!
